The breathtaking activity we enjoyed today at Sian Ka’an Village was a snorkeling excursion to the marvelous reef known as Cerebros (which literally translates as “brains”!). Cerebros is part of the larger reef network in the Sian Ka’an Biosphere that we are lucky to have just a few meters in front of our luxury Sian Ka’an property. Our guests were left in awe at the incredible marine life that we could see as we swam beneath the surface with our snorkel gear.
We went out with two of our guests in the early morning, just as the sun was beginning to warm our backs. At first we saw a school of young shrimp before encountering two barracudas together, who strangely followed us throughout our excursion, as though it was they who were observing us! We also managed to catch sightings of many of colorful fish along the stretch of the reef including a cave full of lobsters.
Today’s snorkeling at Sian Ka’an Village was a phenomenal encounter with nature and one of the most recommended during our day with us at our luxury rental in Sian Ka’an.
